The answer to the question is Yes. For people who are way busy enough and if they are interested in watching movies or documentaries they can do it by just using this audio-only feature. But overall the way we consume Netflix is not based on Audio format. Because we need good video visualization to watch a complete movie. But for the Documentary type, I think this might be useful. The audio-only feature also increases user activity within the app.

Whether Netflix Turning their way to Podcasts?

By this audio-only feature move by Netflix. There is one thing we can make. That Netflix may be going to launch Podcasts on its platform like Netflix originals etc. But still, there is no official announcement by Netflix.

But not sure that Netflix will roll out this feature to all android and IOS Smartphones. Let's see what Netflix is going to do?

As per Xda Developers website

"An APK teardown can often predict features that may arrive in a future update of an application, but it is possible that any of the features we mention here may not make it in a future release. This is because these features are currently unimplemented in the live build and may be pulled at any time by the developers in a future build."
